after reading about privacy. The post is fascinating and a useful reminder. On the Jetpack front I’ve got Jetpack installed but the “Publicize connections” & “Sharing buttons” turned off. I don’t see any traffic going to Facebook using two of the tool’s that Doug suggests. Perhaps Jetpack is OK? Or I don’t really know how to use the tools.

Podcast Listening Notes
In normal times I listen to podcasts. As I do this on a commute I’ve only listened to 2 episodes since schools shut. I miss it.
When listening I often want to remember something for later, perhaps for a blog post or like, usually this ends in frustration as my memory fails. I imagined a podcast player that had voice control and would let you make voice notes. Today this imagining came true.
Castro, the podcast app I use, had an update. This includes a pile of very welcome Siri integration which will help with hands free problems.
Even better the addition of shortcuts and one of the examples gathers info about the current playing episode and allows you speak a note. This is collated with data about the episode, podcast name, Castro url, show notes, position and saved into a New note.
I managed to edit the shortcut to get the information into Drafts instead. I’ve tested it a few times and I am now good to go when commuting starts again on 11 August.

I think blogging is a good description of what you are doing Aaron. Since I installed Alan’s Posted Today plugin I’ve been re visiting a lot of ancient posts here. Lots of my early blogging consisted of notes, bookmarks, replies and likes. Just not formerly organised into kinds.
I voted for Posts.
Fascinating read. Going to be a very useful starting point to to thinking about August 11, albeit my circumstances are very different. Delighted to see it coming to my RSS reader via ScotEduBlogs. Hopefully blogging is part of the new normal.
One of the things that I have found useful is recording comments on my own site. For sites that use Webmentions, comments are automagically notified, however for others – like your own – I copy and paste the content. These reply posts add another dot to join together, to link to and build upon.
Preparing for meeting with class this afternoon, squashing images with ImageOptim. Back when I started teaching pupils to blog the first thing I taught them was to resize images for faster upload & download. We relay on bandwidth & servers now, not sure if that is an advance?

Watched: Parasite ★★★☆☆ enjoyed it but was not blown away. Didn’t hang together enough for me. Preferred Shoplifters which had a similar start. My wife noted similarities to The Servant 🎬
