I am John Johnston A Primary Teacher in Scotland. I currently teach primary
4-5-6-7 in Banton Primary, the Banton Biggies.
From 1993 until 17th October 2008 a class teacher at Sandaig Primary in Glasgow.
In 20th October 2008 I joined North Lanarkshire Council as an Educational ICT Development Officer where I was until 2016.
From January 2014 till December 2015 I was on secondment to the Scottish Government to work on Glow as Product Owner mostly on Glow Blogs. I am continuing the role on a part time basis.
I was born in 1958 so if there is an age based digital divide I am on the wrong side of it. Before completing my pgce I worked for 6 years as a Carnivore keeper at Glasgow Zoo (now defunct).
Prior to working at Sandaig I had never used a computer. At Sandaig I became interested in HyperCard, this lead me to create learning materials for pupils, discover mailing lists and develop a website to contribute to the HyperCard community and try to sell some shareware.
My interest in HyperCard developed into an interest in SuperCard and blogging about Supercard. My interest in web design lead me to create the school site, blogging lead me to starting the children blogging. At SETT I saw radiowaves and though, ‘we can do that’, so started Radio Sandaig.
I play with web 2.0 and ict in the classroom nearly every day including weekends and holidays.

My name is Ogi from FirstSiteGuide and while I was browsing trough your site I found this page: http://johnjohnston.info/blog/2007/ where you are linking to Jorn Barger’s Robot Wisdom website which is no longer active.
We both know that Jorn Barger was the one who invented blogging trough his site. Since my site is all about blogging, I had to write a blog post about Rise and Death of Robot Wisdom. You can see it here:
I hope you will find it useful enough and offer it to your readers instead of the broken link you currently have there?
Lets be in touch!
p.s. you broken link is behind this text: robot wisdom
Thanks, I’ll update the link.
