A nice walk around Ardinning Wildlife reserve on Sunday morn, very quiet. Cuckoos, curlews & other singing & calling.

Hawthorn, may is coming out.
Went for a walk round Ardinning this morning. Lots of birds singing, including the first cuckoo I’ve heard this year. Bluebells starting to appear.
Had a mooch around Ballagan Glen. Quite spectacular waterfall, behind the trees.
Spring underway, primrose, coltsfoot, dog violets, wood sorrel, wood anemones, barren strawberries and more coming through. walkmap

Kilpatrick Braes. Had a short walk this morning. Cold and bright, a few more signs of spring. 3 roe in the woods, one with very patchy hair.

Cherry Plum Blossom in Victoria Park this evening. Lovely mild spring day.
Despite the drizzle spring seems to have arrived in the Park.
The frogs were making a racket in the wee pond, this albino stood out.
First I’ve seen on the park this year. Also note we have 8 hours between sunrise & sunset today 08:29 – 16:29.
