iNaturalist a year in review:
I started adding photos to iNaturalist in April this year. Find it a very useful site for identifying flora & fauna. Obviously need to help others in IDing a bit more.
Castro is back, I’ve grabbed my opml I’m the meantime. After a few podcastless commutes I think I need a backup plan/app. CC @jemostrom
I love Castro for podcatching but it has stopped downloading feeds & I can’t export my subs. Is there another podcast app that allows you to triage what you want to listen to & download in the same sort of way? I like to subscribe to a lot of feed but listen to a selection.

I’ve visited the loch and the The British Dragonfly site many times. Never this page. Quite delighted to see that the header photo is mine. I presumed picked up from Flickr.
My class finished a wee podcast episode today. As usual I find this a very worthwhile exercise in class.

I’ve mostly been avoiding Twitter/X recently, but I still get emails. This looks like it might be fun in class.
I don’t really do much with spotify either, but looking for a poetry podcast I found this one and enjoyed this episode.
Some news. I've been working with Automattic for most of this year on a new version of FeedLand that runs in their cloud. The advantage is it will scale like the most popular websites in the world do, as WordPress does. It's meant a lot of internal changes in the software, but at the same time, it still runs on a Digital Ocean server, and on desktops as well. The next FeedLand works at all these levels, for a person, a workgroup and the world. Obviously, lots more to say about all this.
This looks like really interesting news. I’ve been using FeedLand , for a while, even had it running on a Raspberry Pi until I got into a snarl with domains.
