The tech giant has expressed an ambition to transform education with artificial intelligence, raising fresh ethical questions.
These are technical, ethical, and political issues that should not only be delegated to educators and school leaders to sort out. They need to be addressed at the regulatory level, and through democratic, collective discussion about the future of schools beyond the pandemic.
Ardinning Early We got there about 7:15 this morning, already 3 cars parked. Didn’t see the occupants. Bluebells & woodruff in the woods. Cuckoos calling, larks and curlew. Still and warm with a bit of a haze. Stonechat, bullfinch. lots of bird song. Dabchicks fishing on the loch.
A bit of outdoor learning in the woods near school today. Looking at trees. Pupil identified birch correctly, told me this was due to birch in Minecraft having same pattern on trunk.
I’d heard there was a woodpecker nesting in the park and seen the guys with the huge lens pointing at this dead tree. This evening we head a lot of chirping and saw this wee guy popping its head out. There seems to be more woodpeckers around this year.

Ardinning Arrived before 8. Cloudy, a breeze sun occasionally warming. Comfrey, bluebells, bracken unrolling. Mallard ducklings, a dabchick, a woodpecker. Larks & curlews singing & calling. A couple of ravens. Trees greening, fresh beech. One or two cuckoos. Apple blossom.
Organizing information is hard. I'm not a taxonomist. I don't have a formal information design background. For the most part I just wing it ad hoc and hope for the best.
