I’ve not had much time for blogging recently, just posting my Monday diary as something I hope to see it when I check my On This day pages in the future.

6:40 up
6:50 to 8 walk in the park. Blossom fading, moorhen chicks. Beautiful day.
8:00 – 9:00 breakfast, coffee and crossword with Dorothy, wee bit of exercise, shower and dressed again.
9:00 – 10 posting to Teams about video conferences, emailing pupils links to weeks work. Prep for staff meeting . Brief call with someone in Inverclyde about Blogs, quick tweet.
10:00 -11:00 Continuing prep for conference with pupils
11:00- 12:15 Staff meeting
12:15 – 12:45 lunch, I am getting really quick at knocking out tofu, stir fry and noodles.
12:45- 2:00 pm prep for pupil conference
2:00- 3:10 pupil conference
3:00 – 4:30 commenting on e-Portfolios, email, coffee & toast, week review of last week.
4:30 – 5:30 yoga (Dorothy is teaching me a few moves, I am pretty stiff), Chi Kung ( I am teaching Dorothy some) and a few exercises.
5:30 – 6:00 email a mum, FirstClass, skimming docs from HT.
6:00 – 7:30 cooking, eating, phoning my mum
7:30- 7:50 more e-Portfolios
8:00 – 10:00 second half of King Lear on iPlayer (recommended), episode of Upright (recommended).

“You could be forgiven for thinking that everyone on here is super productive, highly adaptive and smashing the home learning thing 24-7. They’re not. They are eating Wagon Wheels and panicking just like the rest of us. Give yourself a break- you are doing the very best you can.”

This needs to be hoisted high and shouted loud. I’ve no children at home to care for, am being reasonably disciplined, confident with tech and I am finding this is taking way more thought and time than I could imagine.
