A week offlinelish. Last week I was at an outdoor centre with pupils. There was internet but other than posting things to the school twitter feed and class blog I was pretty much offline. The filters blocked my work email & Micro.blog Micro.blog was what I missed most.

@smokey thanks. The is a lot of potential in blogging in schools. Lots of classes here moving towards twitter but blogging slows pupils to write.
@johnjohnston In addition to what it teaches the pupils, if I were a parent (or uncle or grandparent or whatnot), the blog seems like such a great window into what they are doing/learning at school, too, and would lend itself to better engagement with the student at home, being able to ask more than just “what did you do at school today?” 👍
