  1. @johnjohnston This is great! And it feels like it’s the perfect image to accompany your thoughts on Fireworks.

    (I never used Fireworks, but @hicksdesign also always sung its praises, even as it grew old and unloved. Which reminds me, I need to poke him about using his Micro.blog account…)

  2. @johnjohnston @smokey I went to a web design conference in 1998, where Adobe showed off the brand new Fireworks. My jaw dropped when I saw how powerful it was, for the time. That’s back when I just loved Adobe. I said to one of their people, “It must be so gratifying to make stuff that people adore!”
