Spring this morning was followed by sleet and the some hail in the afternoon.

Greenside again. Bright sun to start, a strong gusty wind, dulled down after half an hour. A small tortoiseshell sunning at the side of the track, flew away quickly so no picture. First butterfly of the year. A month earlier than last year. First coltsfoot out too. Ravens enjoying the wind.
This coot seems to be redecorating for spring.
First frog spawn of the year. In a puddle in the path beside the Finlas Water.
Had a mooch around Ballagan Glen. Quite spectacular waterfall, behind the trees.
Spring underway, primrose, coltsfoot, dog violets, wood sorrel, wood anemones, barren strawberries and more coming through. walkmap
Kilpatrick Braes. Had a short walk this morning. Cold and bright, a few more signs of spring. 3 roe in the woods, one with very patchy hair.
A mild gentle evening, broken only by the zooming of territorial coots.
Despite the drizzle spring seems to have arrived in the Park.
The frogs were making a racket in the wee pond, this albino stood out.
