I read a lot about twitter being a ‘toxic stew’ but I don’t see that in my stream much. My reasons for exploring other options are more around gaining a feeling of ownership, a wish to be a little more thoughtful & free myself from dopamine kicks perhaps. Still tweeting too.
I thought my microblog| would be replacing twitter but it seems to be my new Instagram.
This post from over a year ago was cross posted to twitter from microblog. But did not go to micro.blog/johnjohnston not now in RSS feed. Can #WordPress occasionally temporarily add in old post to feed?
Turned off the jetpack post to Twitter functionality from my WordPress blog and set up a cross-posting bot on micro.blog. I think that will give better tweets with title less status post.
