  1. @Miraz why thank you. I’ve lived in Glasgow for the last 40 odd years. Before that close in the West of Scotland, except for a few years in Northern Ireland when I was wee. Accents are quite local here. Mine is probably hybrid.

  2. @johnjohnston Ah, thank you. One feature I noticed that I’ve also heard on the TV show Shetland is that sometimes the s is more like an sh — for example, when you said “twenty-first”. I’m always so fascinated by language, words, pronunciations.
