We saw a pair of adults dabchicks feeding 3 very young chicks earlier this week. This evening one adult fishing and feeding a chick, another adult, with a chick peeping out from its feathers, on a nest.
Great photos. I would’ve missed that chick peeking out from the feathers if I hadn’t read the caption – never knew that chicks could tuck themselves away like that.

@johnjohnston Ah thanks. I had wondered if it was a Dabchick as we have local dabchicks on our little nearby lake.
