Primrose amongst dead vegetation, moss & ivy leaves
First Primrose. A few round a wee waterfall. Some wilted by frost.
Small waterfall, over mossy rocks, dead grass and bracken on the sides , a couple of primrose.

Kilpatrick Muir Flora, walk this afternoon, overcast warm with a breeze. Quite a lot of ringlets fluttering.

Bright blowy day. Ringlet Butterfly or two (saw my first ringlet of year yesterday), a lone swift about the cairn. Lots of common spotted-orchids.

Look Up in Photos is pretty cool. I’ve been a fan of Pl@ntNet for a while. I still think I prefer Pl@ntNet’s community feel & openness but this looks like it will be useful too.

A walk up to the Finlas reservoir and beyond this morning. Overcast & low clouds, fine rain. Cuckoos. A couple of hares on the way up, 3 on the way back. A hill fox. Tons of tiny wee wild flowers among the grass. Deer ,ravens, & more flora & fauna: walkmap

A nice walk around Ardinning Wildlife reserve on Sunday morn, very quiet. Cuckoos, curlews & other singing & calling.
