@johnjohnston Ooh, I need to pick your brain about this at some point. A few months ago, I started trying to figure out how to adapt @colinwalker’s code but didn’t get very far before I had to put the project aside.
@smokey I couldn’t find @colinwalker’s code. Failed to find a plugin! So borrowed from stack exchange. Lazily put in a page template. I’ll clean it up at some point and put it in a gist.
Colin wrote about his here and the code lives here; it was tied in with his /now page and custom display, so the code was not a complete/stand-alone solution, and I’m not enough of a WP hacker to piece the remaining bits together without help. (I started searching and hacked something together that possibly would have worked based on what I’d read, but I never got to testing.)

It may very well include some bad practise. I converted it to a shortcode plugin gist
