Just found Pleroma a federated social networking platform. You can run on a Raspberry Pi. Currently I am much more interested in micro.blog, but this could be an interesting way to own your own ‘mastodon’.
Upgraded my blog to use the post kind 3.1.0 plugin, had a few problems, 3.1.0 problems · Issue #228 · dshanske/indieweb-post-kinds back with 3.0.9.

After 2 days of wind and rain the skies cleared today. Beautiful evening in Victoria Park.
I’ve hardly posted to micro.blog in a week but it seems I open it quite often. Reading micro.blog has become a relaxation & inspiration. The more thoughtful nature of the community, & posting to my own site, means I don’t fire off so many posts.
