@manton & @danielpunkass speaking of Tumblr as competition for mb. I think the a differentiator is the relative calm of micro.blog, both in interface & community. Lots more to chew over regarding WordPress & Tumblr.
@manton Well the change to the site in micro.blog didn’t stick, I might not have saved?? I’ve changed it and am trying again.
@manton, thanks, I’ve done that, so I hope that this reply will be from my micro.blog username.
@MrHenko got it thanks. So I am hoping that this post, on my blog, comes in as a reply. I am using the url from the reply button. I am not using my micro category.
Thanks Aarron,
Worth watching more than once. Lovely, fascinating animation. I wish I had some data to put into Flourish!
That’s all about hardware though. What about software? Also around the same time two years ago, I made a list of the 10 most influential computer programs ever written. I think the Apollo Guidance Computer is probably missing from both my lists, hardware and software – what else did I miss?
Reminded me of Sound maps – UK Soundmap | British Library – Sounds where the sounds were crowd sourced. A lot of fun to join in with.
A quick Glitch embed, a small css animation test. I’ve been messing about with glitch for a while. It is an interesting free tool. An online editor that can edit html, css and JavaScript. It can also add a node.js and SQLite on the server end. This makes it a more powerful system than service that only allow you to edit the front end.
The above page only uses html and css. I made am almost useful page Flickr Poem Promptr a while back that dug a little deeper.
