@gruber lists a few pieces of software that have been around as long as Fetch missing from the list is one of my favourites SuperCard, born 1989. I think I’ll be needing a VM to run it after Catalina arrives:(

I first used NetNewsWire back in 2002, really started using in in 2005 stopped when it left Brent Simmons’ hands.
The new version is lovely, I am still hooked into inoreader so hope that one of the feature requests it to add that as a syncing option. Until I will use NetNewsWire for a few feeds (I think the default one), I don’t do all my reading via inoreader anyway so usually have a few double reads anyway.

A family of herons visited the smaller pond in Victoria Park this evening. To far out for a phone really. A few live photos knocked together with @snapthread and the quality removed with Handbreak.

Watched: Knock Down the House ★★★★☆ which was fascinating from an ocean away. 📽
Quite a lot of rain recently, but we had a dry hour or so, some sun a a fairly strong breeze.
A few blue damselflies and smallish red dragonflies along the path. Sheltered by the bracken which is starting to droop, lots of flowers go to seed. Scabious coming up strongly.
A few peacock butterflies on the knapweed, a small copper on the path, the odd painted lady and white but fewer than recently.
I love seeing wood pigeons flighting in the wind. The Black Linn was full of rain water.
