walkmapKind: Notes
Moved to the 1.0 version of iOS micro.blog app reminded of how nice the on-boarding is. No password. Email address get link to open. Log in to own blog with 1Password. Smooth.
http://kevan.org/wikitext/ I’ve no nostalgia for text adventures, never played ’em. But this is brilliant!

I had to google this. Hold tab button.

Thoughts on Audrey Watters’ “Thoughts on Annotation” fascinating stuff. There was quite a lot of grumpiness about the root of this. This is a lot more measured and interesting.
Microcast 8: Thoughts On Sonant Thoughts Ep 29
Audio comment on the Microcast Sonant Thoughts – Episode 29: Focused
This is a quick try of an iOS workflow. The idea is to quote and comment on a podcast. The content was a one take job. Steps:
- Listen to podcast
- Copy URL to audio file (I grabbed it from my RSS reader FeeddlerPro
- Open in safari
- Save to Dropbox
- Open in Ferrite
- Trim to quote
- Add audio comment
- Save to iCloud
- Back in Safari upload to blog, create post etc
Could probably speed things up using workflow to create post.
Id love to see an app to simplify this. I don’t think it is really a practical solution. Much quicker to move to desktop.
Podcast mobile app idea: a podcatcher that lets you listen to a podcast and pull out a short section to make the basis of a ‘comment’ microcast. This is then posted to your site/somewhere else, either by the app itself or passed on to another app or workflow.
I really like the idea of an IndieWeb podcast club (or any other kind of podcast club). I’ve been listening to more podcasts lately. A club would aid discussion & discovery.
@manton just noticed Inoreader now provides the new JSON Feed as well as RSS for sets of subs.
This post from over a year ago was cross posted to twitter from microblog. But did not go to micro.blog/johnjohnston not now in RSS feed. Can #WordPress occasionally temporarily add in old post to feed?
