First of all, I think it’s really important that we put kids first and don’t worry too much about “lost learning”. No matter what age they are, their schoolwork is not more important than their wellbeing.

Having structure in their day for many contributes to wellbeing. Engaging with teacher, classmates and online learning has a value that last time round many missed out on. Regardless of academic content. Also children who are already struggling need regular input and support.
