Perhaps because I&#8217;ve not used them in anger.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/johnjohnston.info\">Doug Belshaw<\/a> when talking at the SQA assessment event last month, lit a wee lightbulb, he said something like: <em>Badges from you community to show others<\/em>, that is it for me, it is the community that issues the badge that is important. I love my <a href=\"http:\/\/iamtalkytina.com\/true-friends-index\/\">talktina badge<\/a> badge as I value the <em>community<\/em> that issued it. <\/p>\n<p>Anyway yesterday I had a quick play with the <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/mozilla\/openbadges\/wiki\/Displayer-API\">Displayer API \u00b7 mozilla\/openbadges Wiki \u00b7 GitHub<\/a> and came up with a wee page that produces a script that will display a public collection from your open badges <a href=\"http:\/\/backpack.openbadges.org\/backpack\/login\">Mozilla Backpack<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/johnjohnston.info\/tests\/badges_show.html\">Show My Badges<\/a><\/p>\n<p>More an effort to improve my baby steps JavaScript than anything else, this might be of use until something more professional comes long.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/johnjohnston.info\/blog\/images\/2013-07\/showbadges-screenshot_2013-07-21-221919.jpg\" alt=\"screenshot\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve blogged a fair bit about badges but still am conflicted about their value in the classroom.
