I wonder how it is that they have had such a barren run throughout their career for this to be true. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>from: <a href=\"http:\/\/gwegner.edublogs.org\/2012\/10\/03\/low-hanging-fruit\/\">Twitter Is The Low Hanging Fruit Of Networked Learning \u00ab Graham Wegner \u2013 Open Educator<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I believe that the Best PD\/CPD quote was originally TeachMeet, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/olliebray.typepad.com\/olliebraycom\/2007\/05\/the_best_cpd_in.html\" title=\"OllieBray.com: The best CPD in the last year\">Ollie Bray, in 2007<\/a> way back when TeachMeet was ScotEduBlogsMeetUp<a href=\"http:\/\/johnjohnston.info#fn1_2012-10-31\" name=\"fn1_2012-10-31source\" class=\"fntest\">1<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>One of the things that made TeachMeet such effective cpd was the feeling of ownership and inclusion it brought about. <\/p>\n<p>Graham goes on say:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>But blogging is different for me. I can recall various blog posts that have turned on the virtual light bulb for me with ideas that couldn\u2019t possibly be contained within 140 characters.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Although I find twitter, useful and fun you have to agree that it fall short of the inspiration and information given by a great blog post. I don&#8217;t claim this for my own posts, which often are hurriedly put together with no focused audience (see my <a href=\"http:\/\/johnjohnston.info\/blog\/?e=2328\" title=\"huffduffer and Not Huffduffer - John's World Wide Wall Display\">last post<\/a>, which was only of interest to me<img src='https:\/\/johnjohnston.info\/blog\/pivotx\/includes\/emoticons\/trillian\/e_121.gif' alt=';-)' \/>) but you just need to look at the posts coming out of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pedagoo.org\/\">pedagoo.org<\/a> crowd, for example <a href=\"http:\/\/justtryingtobebetter.com\/\">Kenny Pieper&#8217;s blog<\/a> to see the strength of the long form.<\/p>\n<p>Pedagoo do make great use of twitter<a href=\"http:\/\/johnjohnston.info#fn2_2012-10-31\" name=\"fn2_2012-10-31source\" class=\"fntest\">2<\/a>  , live TeachMeet like events but it is probably the detailed and focused blogs posts that hold it together.
