I took two sounds that I had recorded for the <a href=\"http:\/\/sounds.bl.uk\/uksoundmap\/index.aspx\">UK Sound Map<\/a> on Audio Boo. The result is:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"100%\" height=\"166\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F33358558&amp;auto_play=false&amp;show_artwork=true&amp;color=ff7700\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>While I don&#8217;t think the result is particularly creative or interesting I though the workflow was worth recording.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Easiest way to download the mp3s from <a href=\"http:\/\/audioboo.fm\/\" title=\"Audioboo\">AudioBoo<\/a> was to switch to the RSS feed in safari and right click the MP3 link and choose save as.<\/li>\n<li>Open One file in audacity.<\/li>\n<li>Import other file with <strong>File<\/strong> -&gt; <strong>Import<\/strong> -&gt;<strong>Audio&#8230; <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Fade out the first sound, as the second was so quiet in comparison I just left it in place. Deleted the section of the first track after the fade.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><a class=\"top_up\" href=\"http:\/\/johnjohnston.info\/blog\/images\/2012-01\/2012-01-14_busker_to_beach_audacity.jpg\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/johnjohnston.info\/blog\/images\/2012-01\/2012-01-14_busker_to_beach_audacity_440.jpg\" alt=\"Busker to Beach Audacity 440\" height=\"345\" width=\"440\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Bonus Image Merge<\/h3>\n<p>As Both <a href=\"http:\/\/audioboo.fm\/\" title=\"Audioboo\">AudioBoo<\/a>, the source of the sounds and <a href=\"http:\/\/soundcloud.com\/\" title=\"SoundCloud - Share Your Sounds\">SoundCloud<\/a>, where we were to publish the results, allow you to add a photo I thought it might be interesting to create an image fade to go with the audio.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the recipe I used:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/johnjohnston.info\/blog\/images\/2012-01\/2012-01-14_opacity_gradient.jpg\" alt=\"Opacity Gradient\" height=\"195\" width=\"253\" style=\"margin:4px;float:right\"><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open first AudioBoo page in Safari, view the larger image.<\/li>\n<li>Drag image onto FireWorks on the dock.<\/li>\n<li>Open second image and drag onto the first image in fireWorks<\/li>\n<li>Drag a rect in fireworks over the second image. <\/li>\n<li>Make it white and give it an opacity gradient.<\/li>\n<li>Select the gradient Layer &amp; the Image below.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Modify<\/strong> Menu-&gt;<strong>Mask<\/strong> -&gt; <strong>Group as Mask<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Adjust the opacity of the masked image so that the image below shines through.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><a class=\"top_up\" href=\"http:\/\/johnjohnston.info\/blog\/images\/2012-01\/2012-01-14_busker_to_beach_firworks.jpg\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/johnjohnston.info\/blog\/images\/2012-01\/2012-01-14_busker_to_beach_firworks_440.jpg\" alt=\"Busker to Beach Firworks 440\" height=\"362\" width=\"440\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The whole process was pretty quick which is quite important as I try to keep up with the daily create.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The daily create from today\/yesterday was Create an audio of two sounds not normally heard together.
