There was certainly a feel of the Festival having been cut back in space and attendance. The keynotes not using the Armadillo  I watched the Minister&#8217;s opening on a screen in the main hall. Not being one who can parse political stuff the only comment I have is he left a lot open to discussion.<\/p>\n<p>A couple of seminars I went to:<\/p>\n<p>\t\t<strong>Shipbuilding Glow Pilot Project<\/strong> \u2013 Testing the Waters Maeve Dixon () Learning Development Officer, Clydebank Museum) a lovely big school project involving:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>real stuff the museum<\/li>\n<li>real people ex shipbuilders<\/li>\n<li>lots of in school making and doing, a huge ship launch for parents<\/li>\n<li>virtual stuff, glow meets with the museum and a glow group<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\t\t<strong>Games Design Transition Project<\/strong> Charlie Love, Principal Teacher, Cults Academy<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Links ahd slides<br \/>\n\t\t<a href=\"http:\/\/charlielove.org\/?p=6583\">Kincorth Transition Project from SLF11\u00a0|\u00a0Charlie Love.org<\/a><\/li>\n<li>glow for external support<\/li>\n<li>online resource<\/li>\n<li>great looking scratch help videos in glow: <a href=\"http:\/\/glo.li\/bexogN\">http:\/\/glo.li\/bexogN<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>David Muir gives good coverage of several seminars: <a href=\"http:\/\/edcompblog.blogspot.com\/search\/label\/Scottish%20Learning%20Festival\">EdCompBlog: Scottish Learning Festival<\/a>\n\t\t<\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t get much from the reduced trade show this year most interesting stalls for me were where I had a good chat about IOs and language learning with Mark Pentleton a source of info way beyond his business offering <a href=\"http:\/\/www.radiolingua.com\/\">Radio Lingua<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I also enjoyed talking to Gerry Queen, Ruth Washbrook and David S. C. Griffith about Moving Image Education I recodes a couple of quick boos: <a href=\"http:\/\/edutalk.info\/scotland-on-screen\">Scotland on Screen<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/edutalk.info\/mie\">MIE<\/a> for <a href=\"http:\/\/edutalk.info\/\">EDUtalk<\/a>. David went on to provide me with a great deal of food for though that I&#8217;ll be following up at: <a href=\"http:\/\/scotlandonscreen.org.uk\/\">Scotland on Screen<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/languagesonscreen.org.uk\/\">Languages on Screen &#8211; Home Page<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.screeningshorts.org.uk\/\">Screening Shorts<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>TMSLF<\/h3>\n<p>Probably the smoothest organisation of any teachmeet I&#8217;ve been to.
