{"id":2214,"date":"2011-09-17T00:00:00","date_gmt":"1970-01-01T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/johnjohnston.info\/blog\/?e=2214"},"modified":"2011-09-17T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"1970-01-01T00:00:00","slug":"edutalk-slf11","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/johnjohnston.info\/blog\/edutalk-slf11\/","title":{"rendered":"EDUtalk @ SLF11"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/johnjohnston.info\/blog\/images\/2011-11\/edutalk_fist_small.png\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" class=\"pivotx-image align-right\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Two years ago <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/parslad\" title=\"\">David Noble<\/a> and myself started a open to all podcasting project: <a href=\"http:\/\/slftalk.posterous.com\/\">SLFtalk<\/a>, &#8220;<em>a project to gather the voices of educators attending the Scottish Learning Festival 2009<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>The idea was to hear from a range of folk attending SLF 2009, gathering their experiences and opinions. It was, in my opinion a success.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after SLF09 we took the idea forward with <a href=\"http:\/\/edutalk.info\/\">EDUtalk &#8211; Audio publishing by educators, using mobile devices<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/johnjohnston.info#fn1_2011-09-17\" name=\"fn1_2011-09-17source\" class=\"fntest\">1<\/a>  and over the last two years and we have had 332 audio files posted on edutalk.info.<\/p>\n<p>This year it looks like <s>LTS<\/s> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.educationscotland.gov.uk\/\">Education Scotland<\/a>are joining in the fun. They have a <a href=\"http:\/\/audioboo.fm\/\" title=\"Audioboo\">AudioBoo<\/a> channel, <a href=\"http:\/\/audioboo.fm\/glowradio\">Glow Radio<\/a> and it looks like they are going to be tagging their boos so that they will be picked up by EDUtalk.
