Barriers to use include the rigid timetable of secondary schools, the lack of computers or other devices in most classrooms and the failure in many cases to link ICT to relevant CPD The goal for hardware should never be \u201cOne Computer per Child\u201d but should be \u201cAccess when Required\u201d. Good open access wifi throughout the school buildings coupled with allowing pupils to use their own devices, smartphones, tablets, netbooks or whatever would at least partially overcome that barrier.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"posterous_quote_citation\">via <a href=\"http:\/\/fkelly.co.uk\/2011\/09\/eduscotict\/#comment-730\">fkelly.co.uk<\/a><\/div>\n<p>Incisive &#038; concise.
