Staff at school have responded very well losing these negative notions.<br  \/>Higher 5th &amp; ^th years staying on.<br  \/><strong>Phone spec<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3G with internet<\/li>\n<li>Camera &amp; Video<\/li>\n<li>Sound recoding &amp; playback<\/li>\n<li>Keyboard (not on screen)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> Looking at MDA choice: Vario II, keyboard, GPS, looks serious, not a phone, looks like a computer.<br  \/>Children will not phone, just use for data. <strong>Data only Tariff<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Video Camera: Science Experements, upload to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/\">youtube<\/a> for revision and reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Video Camera: PE compare.<\/li>\n<li>Video Camera: Drama, to improve performance or build mini video.<\/li>\n<li>Video Camera: responses to NABs instead of writing.<\/li>\n<li>Camera: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/\">Flickr<\/a> set for field trips<\/li>\n<li>Camera: Art models<\/li>\n<li>Camera: Animation stills<\/li>\n<li>Camera: 365 photo project<\/li>\n<li>Watch Video: News Clips Modern language, modern studies, first aid skiils.<\/li>\n<li>Sound Record: Modern language homework test.<\/li>\n<li>Record interviews for Radio Station.<\/li>\n<li>Record for assessment instead of writing<\/li>\n<li>Listen: podcasts iPod-plus, music<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Windows mobile, office, type up essays, bluetooth keyboards in English.<br  \/>Maths: spreadsheets. Bluetooth homework. read ebooks (boys especially).<br  \/>All the goodness of outlook organisation.<\/p>\n<p>This project not using text (data only), but text has potential: reminders: exams, bullying report etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Internet access<\/strong><br  \/>All have access, research, blog, <em>this should equalise digital divide<\/em>.<br  \/>Kate is now talking about finance&#8230; business involvement to help buy cheaply.<br  \/>Want contribution from parents, parents may pay for device as deposit (returned at end of year), or parents insure device (\u00a35\/month).<br  \/>Children used device for 1 or 2 years, get to keep device if they go on to further edu. Already incentive to go into 5th year.<br  \/>Research going onto health &amp; safety, personal safety, behaviour, consequences and rules.
