{"id":10478,"date":"2013-07-01T13:55:03","date_gmt":"2013-07-01T12:55:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/johnjohnston.info\/blog\/?p=10478"},"modified":"2019-07-27T14:02:50","modified_gmt":"2019-07-27T13:02:50","slug":"glen-douglas-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/johnjohnston.info\/blog\/glen-douglas-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Glen Douglas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Walk round the glen Douglas &#8216;Trio&#8217; today, Beinn Bhreah, Ben Rioch and Tullich Hill<br \/>\nStarted cloudy with a bit of drizzle as I squelched up Beinn Bhreah. cheered up by a few groups of Red Deer and a Raven croaking overhead.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/troutcolor\/9182744883\/\" title=\"Red Deer by troutcolor, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7301\/9182744883_d7b05d9c62.jpg\" alt=\"Red Deer\" height=\"375\" width=\"500\"><\/a><br \/>\nI&#8217;d forgotten my camera and an iPhone is not the best wildlife at a distance camera.<br \/>\nIt began to clear up a bit after I got to the first top:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/troutcolor\/9184964464\/\" title=\"Untitled by troutcolor, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7288\/9184964464_e864c49a5d.jpg\" alt=\"Untitled\" height=\"375\" width=\"500\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Walked along to Rioch had some coffee and dipped down to climb up Tullich Hill.<br \/>\nOne of the things I like about these hills is how quiet they are, I did not see another walker today, great view of the more glamorous Arrochar Alps too.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/troutcolor\/9182752609\/\" title=\"Untitled by troutcolor, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm6.staticflickr.com\/5461\/9182752609_fef132c338.jpg\" alt=\"Untitled\" height=\"108\" width=\"500\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Lunch at the top of Tullich while my phone made a wee timelaps video of the cobbler:<\/p>\n<div style=\"top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 0; position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.25%;\">\t\t\t\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute;\"  src=\"https:\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/photos\/9182799993\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Although these are just about highland hills they are covered with rough grass rather than heather. Lots of Bedstraw and Tormentil along with some pink and blue jobs. Some orchids on the wetter parts of Tullich.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/troutcolor\/9185347024\/\" title=\"Untitled by troutcolor, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm3.staticflickr.com\/2876\/9185347024_c452f2f001.jpg\" alt=\"Untitled\" height=\"500\" width=\"500\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Grass filled with vole tunnels too, I nearly stepped on a couple of the wee beasts scooting along the tunnels.<br \/>\nBack down to the road I noticed some new signage pointing to the hills. Selfish twinge that this might mean the walk is a bit busier in the future.
